About

This blog is devoted to the “balance mechanics” approach to economics, an approach developed by the German economist Wolfgang Stützel in the 1950s.

Balance mechanics is an interesting approach because it takes the logic of simple everyday book keeping at its starting point to construct the logical conditions and constraints for any scientific economics.

While that may not sound very interesting at first, I hope that I will be able to convince you in this blog that this approach is a very fruitful one. As I will try to show one can use balance mechanics both to critize economic theory and also build new economic theory.

The blog is open for discussion. I will be thankful for all kinds of constructive criticism. However, trolling is not tolerated. The debate always has to be civil. I hope you enjoy this blog!
